The international Italian music star Eros Ramazzotti to perform in Georgia for the first time on 24 April. The Perfetto World Tour mega-production will be hosted by the Tbilisi Sports Palace. Eros says, “I've never played in Georgia! It’s a real pleasure to take our great show there. I hope our guests enjoy it, we’ll certainly do our best for the audience in the capital, and I hope this is the first of many concerts in Tbilisi.” The performance will feature songs from Perfetto, the album released by Universal Music all over the world, which has already become multiplatinum, joining the Top 10 highest- selling discs in sixty countries worldwide. Eros will also be playing many of his hits from a glittering thirty-year career, including Terra Promessa, Più Che Puoi, Cose Della Vita, Più Bella Cosa, Adesso Tu, Se Bastasse Una Bella Canzone and Musica E’... Luca Scarpa and Claudio Guidetti are handling musical direction, projecting Ramazzotti into a new world that creates a perfect combination of the classic repertoire and his new music with fresh arrangements, sounds and remixes. Eros is given room to display his talents as a musician in the guitar solo of Stella Gemella, a solo piano rendition of Tra Vent’Anni and in the finale with the acoustic guitar version of Un Angelo Disteso Al Sole. Eros is backed on stage by a 10-piece band from around the world - his close friend Luca Scarpa (piano & keyboards), Giovanni Boscariol (keyboards), Giorgio Secco (guitar), Thomas Pridgen (drums), Paolo Costa (bass), Joe Leader (sax), Christian Pescosta (percussions), Monica Hill and Roberta Montanari (backing vocals) and the legendary Phil Palmer (guitar), a long-time sideman of Eros who has also played for such luminaries as Bob Dylan, Frank Zappa and Robbie Williams. Opening the concert will be a special, very angular 3D animation of Eros’ face, evoking vague recollections of the drawings in Marvel drawings and proudly displaying the marks of time on his features. The show may seem extremely simple, but it's staged using the most advanced technology, on a par with the most prestigious international productions. This Eros mask is a sort of icon, and that's how the performance starts, with images drawing inspiration from Chaplin's features. Against the music of L’ombra del Gigante, for the first time an “ironic” Eros shows a lighter side, revealing a sense of irony few fans were aware of. Direction is by Luca Tommassini, who has worked with Madonna and the biggest international productions. Heartfelt thanks to the Italin Embassy in Tbilisi whose valuable collaboration and support have made this event possible. The tour is produced by Maurizio Salvadori, Trident Music, with the support of Trentino the collaboration of Radio Italia Solo Musica Italiana, a partner with the international dates.
